現場はもう、とっくに動いていましたが、「キャプテン・マーベル」のクランクインが公式に発表されて、出演者の顔ぶれが伝えられました！！

もう2か月前の1月末に、本来の色とは違うグリーンのコスチュームを身につけたブリー・ラーソンの戦うヒロインぶりのセット・フォトを紹介した「キャプテン・マーベル」の撮影がスタートした！！というクランクインの発表を、ようやく、ディズニーがプレス・リリースし、オフィシャル・フォトの最初の1枚めとして、上 ↑ の写真を披露してくれました！！
上 ↑ の写真の場所は、ネバダ州のラスベガスのはずれにあるネリス空軍基地だそうで、ブリーの隣りにいる女性は、同基地に配属されている第57航空団のジニー・リーヴィット准将とのこと。もしかするとジニー准将もチラと映画の中に登場するのかもしれませんが、ブリーが演じるヒロインのキャロル・ダンヴァースが空軍のパイロットという設定であることから、その役作りのための取材として、同基地を訪問し、現実に女性パイロットのジニー准将にお話を窺わせて頂いた時の記念写真だそうです！！
ディズニーの発表によれば、「キャプテン・マーベル」は、1990年代を舞台にして、対立するエイリアン同士の宇宙戦争に地球が巻き込まれてしまったことから、主人公のキャロルが、マーベル・ユニバース最強の戦うヒロインのひとりであるキャプテン・マーベルに生まれ変わって、大活躍をする！！とのことで…、

アンナ・ボーデンとライアン・フレックの男女の監督カップル（「ミシシッピ・グラインド」2014年）のヒーロー映画作りをサポートするカメラマンは、「ドクター・ストレンジ」（2016年）を撮影したベン・デイヴィス。宇宙戦争がテーマになる物語の背景のセットをデザインする美術監督は、「グラビティ」（2013年）を手がけたアンディ・ニコルソンだそうですから、申し分のない映像が創りだされることになりそうな「キャプテン・マーベル」は、ロサンゼルスを製作拠点とし、カリフォルニア州のフレズノのほか、ルイジアナ州のバトン・ルージュや、ニュー・オーリンズに出向いて、ロケを行うそうです！！
ブリーの共演者の顔ぶれとしては、すでに伝えられているジュード・ロウ、ジェンマ・チャン、ベン・メンデルソーン、そして、過去の物語ですから、両目を開いて登場するサミュエル・L・ジャクソンのほか、S.H.I.E.L.D. のエージェントのフィル・コールソンも生きている時代なので、クラーク・グレッグがシネマティック・ユニバースに帰って来るのに加えて…、

Marvel Studios has begun principal photography in Los Angeles, California, on its newest film, “Captain Marvel.” The production is shooting in and around the greater Los Angeles area, which will also serve as the production base for the film. The production will also shoot on location in Fresno, California, as well as locations in Louisiana, including Baton Rouge and New Orleans.
Set for release in the United States on March 8, 2019, Marvel Studios’ “Captain Marvel” is directed by the writing/directing team of Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, whose credits include “Mississippi Grind” and “Half Nelson.” An all-star collective of accomplished writers penned the screenplay, including Meg LeFauve (“Inside Out,” “The Good Dinosaur”), Nicole Perlman (upcoming “First Man,” Marvel Studios’ “Guardians of the Galaxy”), Geneva Robertson-Dworet (“Tomb Raider,” upcoming “Sherlock Holmes 3”), Liz Flahive & Carly Mensch (“Glow”), and Anna Boden & Ryan Fleck.
